Congratulations to Heather P. of Bethel Park! After four long hours of frosting and molding and decorating at GoodTaste! Pittsburgh – (with plenty of people stopping to watch!), Heather’s fun holiday cake creation won the 1st place prize unanimously!
Thanks to judges James Gray of Dozen Bake Shop, Eileen K. a Wilton Instructor, and Claire Robinson Food Network Host/Chef. They all agreed Heather had the most original creation of all.

All of the ladies did a fantastic job, and made it tough on the judges! Congratulations to Dawn, Julie, Michelle and Christa as well – we loved the reindeers, and sleighs, and elves and trees and stained glass windows!! You should all be proud!! On behalf of Operation Santa Claus, we would like to thank everyone for their interest and support of the 2010 Sweet Treat Challenge. With all of the entry fees, voting fees, and raffle tickets sold on Saturday at GoodTaste! Pittsburgh, we were able to raise $2,800 for Operation Santa Claus. That will feed well over 170 less fortunate families during the holidays this year! Special thanks to Relish Magazine for the grand prize, and to Monroeville Mall for additional contestant prizes.

Thanks again to everyone for your participation in Sweet Treat Challenge benefiting Operation Santa Claus!
All A Buzz

Behive cake for my daughter, Taylor's13th birthday. She chose it as part of her country party at a local farm. Her older sister, Ashley, with friend, Sarah, came home from college for the party. This was a combined effort, everyone had to try making a bee or flower just to "play in the clay." Cakes have become a time for our family to have fun together. Submitted September 26, 2010
